

Paul was born in Marville France on January 23rd, 1958 and was the son of Paul DOUCETTE (Sr) and Jacqueline DOUCETTE (MUISE).
Paul proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for a total of 41 years, beginning his career in the Army for 7 years before remastering to the Royal Canadian Air Force, where he retired at the rank of Master Warrant Officer. During his career, Paul completed tours with NATO and a tour in Afghanistan. Paul was stationed at CFB Cold Lake (4 Wing); CFB Trenton (8 Wing) and CFB Shearwater (12 Wing).
Paul also served as a Volunteer Firefighter with Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency for 14 years, serving the Community of Eastern Passage out of Station 16.
Paul’s proudest role was being a loving Grandfather to his two grand-daughter’s. All who knew Paul, knew how much they meant to him and he always made sure they knew they were loved.
Paul is survived by his wife, Margo DOUCETTE (NEWELL); son Kevin DOUCETTE; daughter-in-law Heather DOUCETTE (METHVEN) and grand-daughters Rachel and Kate DOUCETTE. Whom all want to express their gratitude for the staff at from 7A at the Victoria General Hospital and Hospice Halifax, for all the comfort and care that was provided to Paul.
Those who knew Paul, are aware that he was not one to have others create a fuss over him and would rather give than receive. With this in mind, in lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Hospice Society of Greater Halifax (618 Francklyn St, Halifax NS).
Cremation has taken place. As per Paul's wishes, there will be no service.
