

— 74, Dartmouth. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Fisher on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Harold and Myrtle (King) Fisher and stepson of Gloria Fisher, Dartmouth. Bob was a loving brother, father, grandfather and friend to many. Bob was a reservist in the Princess Louise Fusiliers. He was a successful businessman and president of Local Liberal Associations. Bob was very proud of his work as a board member of the Halifax Infirmary. An avid antique auto fan, he was a past president of the Antique Car Club. He was a huge Mooseheads fan and season ticket holder since day one. Bob is survived by his stepmother, Gloria Fisher; sons, Darren (Anne), Dale (Darci); daughters, Jillian (Stephen), Leigh (Lloyd); grandchildren, Layne, Cole, Bruen, Ava, Kyle, Gracie; brothers, Ernest, Victor, Eric; loving partner, Linda Fraser, Truro. Predeceased by his son, Timothy Fisher. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, February 21, in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St., Dartmouth. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date in Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, or to a charity of your choice.
