I knew Rob since elementary school.. and onward through high school. We shared many good times and some mischief too. We chummed around a fair bit in Jr High and elementary. He stayed with me at my place a number of days in grade six. We did not spend much time hanging out in high school and lost touch in the late 1980's. He was a very talented with his hands building things, or picking up an instrument and just playing it. He was also an incredible arm wrestler. Rob had some challenges in his life andd had to deal with a few hands many of us do not have too. Rob would stick up for his friends. I hope Rob is at peace and his family finds some solace in the posts here.

Rob and I lived two houses away and were friends since we were in baby carriages. Always full of energy and ready for excitement.

We grew apart in high school as many kids do but we did, happily, get together a few times through the years. 

Rob sent through a few old photos of us as kids on Facebook. It brought back great memories of playing rock music in his basement, camping with girls on Lake Mic Mac, and just a few woods parties.

I wish we had another chance to reminisce our junior days one more time.  

Godspeed my friend. You are missed.

Rob was my best friend thru Jr High School. Sadly I never got to see him face to face one more time before his passing but I'll always remember him.

Robert Calvin Kent was the head of my family following the death of our father.  He was born to this admirable legacy, and he was the perfect man to hold this birthright.  No one was more fitted to fulfill this role as he.

Rob was the more intelligent, gifted, considerate, dependable, pure of heart, and loving of my two brothers.  He was real.  He loved me sincerely and strongly.  He did not trample me, my life, or my family to make himself feel more important or more successful as lesser people have done.  Rob was special.

Rob possessed integrity and merit far beyond the average person, and he was the most reliable and accommodating person I have ever known.  He cared genuinely about people.

Rob was first rate to the core in a second-rate society that judges the quality of a human being based on the glossy artificiality of a superficial sheen.  Rob was born great, and his numerous inspiring achievements made him truly remarkable.  My family's loss is a tremendous one.

I will never see Rob's smiling face, enjoy his terrific laugh, learn all about his enlightening and fascinating  studies and research, share old memories with him, cook for him, spend special occasions with him, eat his favourite foods with him, watch him cuddle with family cats, hear him play guitar and piano, watch high-quality movies with him, listen to great music with him, discuss concerts we enjoyed, have a drink with him, chat with him on Skype, email him links to hilarious British comedy on YouTube, talk for hours, see the gorgeous furniture he designed and built, or light fireworks in my yard with him...

...ever again.

Rob is out of pain now.  I will carry his spirit with me for the rest of my life.  There is no one more worthy to share my life force.
