BORDEN, Shirley Barbara — 78 of Halifax, passed away June 1, 2010, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII . Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Fred Hoffman and Ruby (Drysdale) Meagher. Shirley was an employee of Sobeys for over 15 years. She is survived by son, Fred (Pat) Chatterton of Dartmouth; daughter, Barb (David) Rudolph of Lower Sackville; brother, Norman of Cow Bay; grandchildren, Brett, Briana, Scott and Shannon; great-grandchild, Brendan and also her special babies. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Borden. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. No service or flowers by request. Donations may be made to a charity of choice. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Shirley's friends David, Laura, Wayne and Dorothy for all of their support.
