Albert “Bert” Longmire, 70, of Davenport, Iowa; passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Genesis East Medical Center. Per his request, cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11am at the Dahl Old Car Home, 5215 Grand Ave, Davenport.
Bert was born on November 7, 1953 to Harvy and Annamae Longmire in Iowa City, Iowa. Following high school, he joined the United States Navy and served during peacetime. Bert worked as a construction worker for Iossi Construction before he retired in 2021. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Packers, and NASCAR. Bert could be found outside on the patio feeding the birds with a cigarette and Pepsi-Cola in hand.
Those left to honor his memory are his children Rick and Bobbi; his brother Allen (Gloria) Longmire and his sisters Patricia Hawley and Diana (Donnie) Roush. He was preceded in death by his parents.
