Aldora Maria Madden

Aldora was born July 5, 1932 in Madeira, Portugal. She was the daughter of Joseph and Filomene DeFreitas. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Trinidad. She married Charles D. Madden on November 1, 1952 in Trinidad. He passed away on January 12, 2022.

She worked in her home as a beautician for 35 years and was a loving and devoted mom to her three daughters. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, traveling with her family and perhaps most of all, dancing with her husband.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters: Vicki (Skip) Schlue, Davenport, Diane (Dick) Shaffer, Davenport and Kim (Tom) Smith, Rock Island; grandchildren: Jonathan (Veronica) Schlue, Audrey Schlue, Timothy (Mandy) Shaffer, Sarah (Michael) Ruiz and Tommy Smith; seven great grandchildren: siblings: Dennis (Linda) DeFreitas, Frank (Sue) DeFreitas, Sidonio (Marion) DeFreitas, Doris Mitchell; sisters-in-law, Ursula DeFreitas and Dorothy DeFreitas and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Aldora was preceded in death by five siblings: Lio DeFreitas, Lynchia (Jean) DeFreitas, Victor DeFreitas, Chilha DeFreitas and Veronica DeFreitas.
