One of the sweetest women, with the kindest heart, anyone will ever meet died in Bettendorf, IA on January 5, 2026. Amanda was born in Dallas, TX, on July 2, 1974, to Clark and Suzy Arons. With a bubbling personality and a smile on her face from the time she was a baby, Amanda brought happiness and love to everyone she met. Amanda was a wonderful wife of Matt, mother of Kyler, Kamrin, Kade and step-daughter Clara, sister to Carrie, aunt to Tamrick, Teranee, Tiana and Tj, and great-aunt to Tyce, Towns and Tenzen. Amanda had a way about her. This way, defined as how she wanted to please everyone and make everyone happy. She would jump into any family event to help to get done whatever needed to be done; it didn’t make a difference if it was cooking Thanksgiving supper, wrapping Christmas gifts, cleaning up after a family event, putting together puzzles with her nieces, nephews and boys, or doing Christmas shopping on Black Friday.
Amanda grew up playing soccer, volleyball and trying out the ski slopes. Unfortunately, skiing ended up not being her sport, as she fell and tore her ACL. After healing from that surgery, she concentrated on volleyball. She loved all sports when she was growing up and continued her love for sports after her boys were born. She spent many days on football or baseball bleachers watching her sons.
There is so much more to be said but not enough room to write. Maybe the best way to sum up Amanda is to quote a bit of Ecclesiastes “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under Heaven……”. There is no longer any pain, no more worries and no more frustrations; there is only grace from our Lord and Savior, and peace at the last.
The visitation will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bettendorf, IA on January 16th at 10:30 AM with celebration of life service starting at 12:00 PM (Noon).
The family has requested any memorials be directed to NAMI.
