I was going through the cards left from my dad's passing today and found Amarachi's. I remembered speaking with her at his visitation and was so impressed with her courage, determination, and hard work to see through becoming a doctor despite her illness. I was shocked when I Googled her today to find that she had passed in 2019. I am heartbroken and wish that I had known so I could have attended her service. However, I know that she and my dad are in heaven, doctors together. My condolences, prayers, and love to the family. 

I haven't known Amarachi for all my life, but when I met her I knew she was such a happy spirit. She brought karaoke and singing into my life. She showed me that even though I have an illness I can still be anything I want to be if I put my mind into it. Amarachi will never be forgotten. She will forever live in our hearts and her legacy and spirit will never be forgotten. Lord bless Amarachi!

I met Amarachi 5 years ago....and to know her was to love her. She always wore a smile even when she felt bad. She was one of the strongest individuals I know. I know she would a been an amazing physician. Heaven gained a beautiful angel. I can only imagine the stories her and Dr. Loyd are sharing now....rest easy sweet girl!

Amarachi was a student of mine in her first year of medical school and having her in my group was a delight. Her sweet, kind, gentle and compassionate spirit and her infectious smile are fondly remembered. The joy and love that Amarachi brought to us will never be forgotten.

What defines a family? Is it coming from the same kindred or sharing the same blood? No! To us, what defines a family is being there for the good and bad times!! 

As we go through this process, let us remember the meaning of the name, Amarachi, which means “Grace of God!” Amarachi was every meaning of that. She was graceful and always placed God first. She was a warrior and fought to make her dreams come true. She’s a true testament that no matter how hard life is, never give up on your goals! 

Our last time together, is something we will hold dear to our heart. We went to a local karaoke spot in Atlanta. We got on the mic singing as a girl group, like we did as little children. We performed the Spice Girls with no care in the world, off beat and lack of choreography, but it worked! We were laughing with no fear of embarrassment...like sisters! That’s how we will remember Amarachi! Full of laughter, the sweetest angel, and always happy to be around her family & friends!  She will always be our sister, daughter, and best friend! 
We will miss her, but our memory of her will live forever in our heart! May the lord grant her everlasting peace!

How can you be forgotten since there are so many beautiful things to be remembered about you! Your smile, warm heartedness, good disposition and friendliness! You are greatly missed! Till we meet to part no more at the feet of Christ, rest on peacefully at the bosom of our Lord Jesus! 

May your peaceful and cheerful soul rest in the Lord. You left at the time we're starting to get closer as cousins. You were such a determined person, a rare gem with a heart of gold...so meek and kind! I miss you dear cousin, Rest well!!!

Amarachi was a ray of sunshine in every life she touched I am sure. Mine included. Thinking of and praying for your family.

Amarachi was such a happy, joyful, and giving person.  You could never tell when she was down or hurt because she was always optimistic. At every function or event it was never a dull moment with her because she was always full of positive energy. That will definitely be missed.  She was an inspiration for being able to get through high school, college, and medical school fighting sickle cell. Just knowing that my last time seeing you was at your graduation party earlier this year sickens me.  As we all mourn, this is not the end. Let’s cherish the memories and all the good times we had with Amarachi.   I pray for strength and healing for the Anukam family. This is my story. God Bless! I lost my cousin to SCD at 41 and after I met and interacted with Amarachi for a few minutes, I was heartbroken. She was such a wonderful person with a great demeanor! Praying for my naija family.

Amarachi was a true joy to be around and a pleasure to work with. I was encouraged and challenged by her life that was so grounded in faith and gratitude. She really sought to see and believe the best about others and was generous with her forgiveness. The world is a better place because of her life. 

Praying for the family during this difficult time. God sees, He hears, He knows all about your sorrow.  May your sweet memories of Amarachi bring you comfort and joy.

Amarachi was a joy to be around with her infectious smile and kind nature.  I enjoyed working with her in the laboratory as an undergraduate and was delighted to teach her in medical school.  
I will miss her brightness and send thoughts and  prayers to her family.

Amarachi was a wonderful young lady.  She moved through her time on Earth with such grace and dignity.   I love that her illness did not define who she was.  

I will always be grateful for the time that she spent with us at Mercy Health Center.
