Ann M. Johansen, 93, of Bettendorf, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Per her wishes she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church, 1140 E High Street, Davenport. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Inurnment will take place at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Grace Lutheran Church, Davenport or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Ann was born on February 6, 1930 in Wewoka, OK to Alfred and Edith (Johnson) Sjostrom. She graduated from Davenport High School in 1948. Ann was united in marriage to Eugene "Skip" Johansen on September 2, 1950 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2006
Ann was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Bowlmor Victory League, Duck Creek Women’s Golf League, Genesis Auxiliary and WELCA. Ann enjoyed quilting and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church quilters group.
She is survived by her son Tim (Claire) Johansen of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Courtney (Eric) Baker, of Chattanooga, TN, Alex “AJ” Johansen of Waukesha, WI; great-grandchildren, Eloise, Miles and Addy Baker; nieces, Sue Waters and Carol Prochnow both of Ankeny, IA.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and nephew, Don Johansen.
