Anna Marie Foster

Anna Foster, 95, of Davenport passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Genesis West. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, February 17, 2011 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Davenport. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Wednesday at the Runge Mortuary, with a prayer service at 4 pm. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Buffalo, Iowa. Mrs. Foster was born March 8, 1915 in rural Scott County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mabel (Henning) Kluever. On December 26, 1933 she married Eugene N. Vance in Davenport. She later married Jack M. Foster July 26, 1951 in Iowa City. He preceded her in death in 2000.

She had been employed by Hansaloy Manufacturing, retiring in 1977. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her children: Robert (Peggy) Vance of Davenport, Richard (Mary) Vance of Arlington Heights, Illinois, William (Cathy) Vance of Loveland, Colorado; seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
