Anna Jacobsen Marti

Anna Jacobsen Marti, 94, of Bettendorf, died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the Palmer Hills Retirement Center in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or to Genesis Hospice. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com

Anna was born May 15, 1918 near Maysville, IA. She was the daughter of Albert and Caroline (Friederichs) Roehlk. She married Andrew Jacobsen on September 23, 1939; he preceded her in death in 1986. She married Luverne Marti in 1988; he preceded her in death in February 2005.

She worked at Hickey Brothers and later at Horst-Zimmerman Dealership retiring in 1983.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Plus 60 Club, Northwest Liedertaufel and CASI.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Dale (Loretta) Jacobsen, Knoxville, TN; Don Jacobsen, Coulterville, CA; Sally Ervin, Rohnert Park, CA; Judy (Richard) Smith, Jacksonville, FL; grandsons: Shannon Jacobsen, Nathan Smith and Tom Daniel; step-daughter, Judith (Bruce) Williamson; step-daughter-in-law and dear friend, Sandra Marti, step son-in-law, Richard Hagen; one great grandson and numerous extended family members.

An infant daughter, Susan Jacobsen preceded her in death.
