Anthony or Tony as he usually preferred to me called, was a very dear man to me. Often I would go and visit Tony at his residence in Bettendorf to see how he was doing and he was always more concerned about me. He was truly without a doubt one of the wisest men I have known (& my father was a very wise man). Sometimes I wondered who was helping who. Tony was a father figure to me and would even call me on my birthday and sing happy birthday to me. Sadly I never got the chance to say goodbye to Tony. I am still in disbelief as I write this, as Tony was one of those people who always seemed invincible to me. He most definitely lived an adventurous and rich life, if not in money then in experiences. Tony could also be a simple man, with simple needs, and simple wishes. Above all else he was a family man, a father, who loved and adored his children and grandchildren more than life itself. And I am here to say I witnessed firsthand that love and commitment went both ways. Not a single time I visited Tony did at least one of his children fail to call to check on him. It was priceless watching his eyes light up when he spoke of family, but he struggled so much when one of his family was hurting and he couldn't fix it. Tony was and always will be one of a kind. He often would joke with me that he and I were born too far apart because we shared so many thoughts and beliefs. Tony challenged me and he challenged himself. He fought the pain and discomfort he was in with true dignity and class. Tony, you really are one class act. You have graced my life with your presence and I trust you are helping to work miracles right now. Hey if you have any extra time, maybe you could set me up with a miracle! I love you Anthony Loscalzo. I will miss you dearly but will never forget the lessons I learned from you. Rest in peace but don't forget to get up and dance now and then.

Tony was my very best friend and I will miss him always.  He taught me so much about life and love...many things I do better now are because of his advice........looking at pictures  of him is very painful but they will bring me peace as time goes by...love you, Tone... Tony was a gentleman who always had a smile and a kind word to those he would encounter. I shall remember his smile and his kindness. Rest in peace Tony.
