

Funeral services for Billie R. Scott, 83, of Davenport, will be 10:30 am on Wednesday at Risen Christ Lutheran Church, Davenport. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, IA., where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion #26. Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 9:30 am to service time at the Church.Cunnick-Collins Mortuary assisting family with arrangements.Billie passed away on Sunday at his home in Davenport.Billie Richard Scott was born on August 8, 1929 in Rathbun, IA, the son of Jasper “Buddy” and Icle (Milburn) Scott. Billie married Dolly Morris on May 5, 1951 in Centerville, IA. In his early years, Billie worked in the coal mines with his father in Centerville, IA. He then moved to Davenport where he worked at the Farmall Plant in Rock Island for 25 years. He retired in 1985.Billie was a member of the American Legion #26 and Risen Christ Lutheran Church, Davenport. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and repairing things around the house. Billie served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.Survivors include his wife Dolly, of Davenport, son: Larry (Debra) Scott of Davenport, 4 grandchildren; Jeff Hentze, Sherry Bolosan, Kyle Scott, Kevin Scott, two great-grandchildren; Annabelle Bolosan, Aubrey Scott, brothers; John Scott of Enon, Ohio, Dan Scott of Tipton, IA, Michael Scott of Reno,NV, and a sister; Rachael Britt of Goodyear, AZ.
