

Bradley A. Thiede, 51, of Bettendorf, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be Monday, March 22, 2010 at 11:30 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Sunday, 1-5 pm at the mortuary. Cremation rites will follow his service. Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity or Lake Davenport Sailing Club.
Brad was born December 18, 1958 in Maquoketa, IA, the son of Thomas and LaVonne (Anderson) Thiede. He was united in marriage to Bonnie (Plummer) Turner on September 9, 2000 in Davenport. Brad joined the Carpenter’s Union Local #4 in Davenport in 1991. He was employed at Builders Sales & Service in Moline from 1990 until 2009. He belonged to the Lake Davenport Sailing Club; of which he was affectionately known as the “Grill Meister” and the Quad Cities Parrot Heads. He also loved the outdoors, working on outdoor projects of which he took great pride in. He dearly loved his two cats, Artie and Katie.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Bonnie, Bettendorf, stepson, Derek Turner, Bettendorf, grandson, Mason Fall, his mother, LaVonne, Charlotte, NC, siblings: Barry (Marcia) Thiede, Raytown, MO; Val Baughman, Davenport, Mike (Becky) Thiede, Springfield, OH; Brent Thiede, Ames, IA, Dawn (Lynn) Tucker, Charlotte, NC, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a special uncle, Don Hughes, Bryant, IA.
