Carl VanEvera Wilson, 81, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at his residence. Cremation rites have been accorded, and a private graveside service will take place Friday, June 13, 2025 at Oakdale Memorial Gardens.
Carl was born on June 5, 1943 in Davenport, IA to parents Janet and Harold Wilson. He faced many difficulties as someone who was non-verbal, but with the support of family and dedicated health and support professionals, he persevered and made the most of a tough hand. Carl took great joy in exploring the outdoors and especially car rides.
Those left to honor Carl’s memory include his sister-in-laws, Sharon Wilson and Jean Wilson-Claeyes, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Richard Wilson; sister, Karen Auliff; brother-in-law, Robert Auliff; two nieces, Cindy Wilson and Julie Auliff, and one nephew, John Auliff.
