Carole Jean (Burreson) Farley, 86, of Blue Grass, IA; entered her heavenly home on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the Country Manor Memory Care in Davenport. Services to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 1pm at Weerts Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 11am till the time of the service. Memorials in Carole’s name may be made to Blue Grass Presbyterian Church or to Heartland Hospice.
Carole was born on January 27, 1935 on the family farm in rural Iowa County, Wisconsin to Everett and Hazel (Gordon) Burreson. Carole married the love of her life, Frederick Farley, on January 25, 1958 in Daleyville, WI. She retired from Red Jack Pumps after over 30 years of service. Carole loved working in her flower gardens and cooking huge meals for her family. Her joy was spending time with her husband and family. For many years, Carole and Fred enjoyed wintering in Los Fresnos, Texas. She was a long time, active member of the Blue Grass Presbyterian Church.
Those left to honor her memory are her children: Michael (Julie) Farley of Davenport, Cindy (Kevin) Moorhead of Coon Valley, WI, and Timothy (Kathleen) Farley of Preston, CT; grandchildren: Seth Farley, Tegan Farley, Ondrea Farley, Alyssa Stecker, Kyle Moorhead, Jared Farley, Jessica Farley, Cavin Farley, Ryan Wells, and Cody Wells; nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Rochelle (Ted) Boucher, JoAnn Greenberg, Geanyce Brammer; and her brother Greg (Ann) Burreson. She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick and her parents.
