June was born on October 22, 1935 in Hattiesburg, MS to Jasper and Flora Gilleon. She was united in marriage to Billy Holcomb on July 4, 1953 and began her life as a military wife. It was a life that took her to many places, including Germany and Taiwan. Everywhere that she and Billy lived, she was quick to help whomever she could and was a wonderful example of southern hospitality. When Billy retired and they moved back to their roots in Hattiesburg, MS. Nothing pleased them more than to have friends and family visit. June loved cooking for their guests and made everyone feel at home. After 15 years in Hattiesburg, they decided it was time to move closer to family and moved back to Davenport, where their girls lived. June and Billy eventually moved to Senior Star. For the last four years, June has been well cared for in Memory Care by a staff who have become like extended family. Senior Star was a huge blessing in June’s life and her family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks for their living care and support.
