Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the mortuary. Cathy was born September 2, 1950 to Justamere and Wandamae (Finch) Martin in Davenport, IA. On October 24, 1970 she was united in marriage to Richard Richardson in Davenport. Cathy had been a Nurses Aide at Good Samaritan and Meadow Lawn before moving to Ridgecrest where she was the Med Aide with the dementia unit for 10 years.

Cathy enjoyed going bowling and crocheting. She loved collecting Beanie Babies, Isabel Blooms, and cardinal figurines. Her greatest joy was her grand and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Richard; daughter, Melinda Toler, Fairhope, AL; son, Sean (Jackie) Richardson, Burlington, IA; grandchildren, Nicole (Drew) Herkert, Amanda (Zach Raney) Larson, Justin Cornelison, Arianna (Dustin) Whittington, Brina Moyers, and Taylor Smith; 9 ½ great grandchildren; sister, Karel Thumann; and brother, Gary Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Darlene Swinscoe, and brother-in-law Dennis Thumann.
