

Charles Monroe Buckley, 65, of Princeton, passed away November 30, 2011 at Trinity Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 5, 2011 at Princeton Presbyterian Church in Princeton, IA located at 630 3rd Street. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the Runge Mortuary. Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Charles was born January 12, 1946 to Harry and Wilhelmina (Moore) Buckley. He married Melinda Hirl in May, 1970. Charles later married Lenora Winfield on October 6, 1978 in Princeton, IA.
He was an avid outdoorsman and also served in the Navy. Charles worked at Alcoa as an equipment operator and retired after 33 years. He enjoyed doing numerous activities with his grandson, Matt and was a member of the Princeton Volunteer Fire Department and a deacon at the Princeton Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his spouse, Lenora; children, Sean (Julie) Buckley, Valencia, CA, Jason Buckley, Charlotte, NC, and Sarah Buckley, Park View, IA; stepsons, Roger (Bobbie) Inman, Davenport, IA and Gerald Inman, Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Jesse Inman, Maynard, IA, Amber Bothwell, Gainesville, FL, Alexander Buckley, Emma Buckley, and Benjamin Buckley, all of Valencia, CA, Matthew Buckley and Katelyn Buckley-Day, Park View, IA; sisters, Janet (Ben) Maher, LeClaire, IA, Eileen “Ellie” (Robert) Lopshire, Davenport, IA and Barbara (Larry) Wilson, Princeton, IA; and brother, Harry (Robin) Buckley, Bettendorf, IA.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
