Clarence Roger Miller

Clarence “Roger” Miller, 74, of Coal Valley passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Mercy One Hospital in Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Weerts Funeral Home. Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Roselawn Cemetery, Moline, IL. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.

Roger was born on September 19, 1950 in Davenport, IA to Clarence and Billy Miller. Roger proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force serving from 1970 to 1974. He graduated from the University of Central Florida. Roger was united in marriage to Patricia Bauman on June 6, 1980. He worked as an IT manager for John Deere and various departments throughout his career. Roger was an avid coin collector. He was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Roger loved to travel alongside with his wife Patricia, visiting Florida and Niagara Falls. He volunteered his time to his church home, Moline Gospel Temple. Roger was devoted to his faith, loved Jesus and is resting peacefully with the Lord.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia; son, Michael (Anna) Miller of Blue Grass, IA; grandchildren, Evie, Elijah and Emma; siblings, Sue (Clyde) Hibbeler and Ruth Ann (Dan) Davenport and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Peter Miller.
