ELDRIDGE, Iowa — David S. Flower, 70, of Eldridge, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010, at Bettendorf Healthcare. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010, 10 a.m. at Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
David was born June 25, 1940, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the son of Paul and Mary (Pletcher) Flower. He was united in marriage to Ann Schweertman on July 5, 1963.
He was a lifetime minister and retired from Sivyer Steel after 23 years.
Besides spending time with his family and friends, he enjoyed photography, reading, music, singing, and drama.
Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife, Ann, Eldridge; daughter, Deleisha; sons, Stephen (Coleen) and Joseph (Danita); grandson, Scott; granddaughter, Trinity; and great-grandson, Scott, Jr.
