Dawn Athena Korch

Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM, Friday, May 22, 2015 at the mortuary. Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded following services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family or online at www.gofundme.com/vd5k4cs. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Dawn was born on October 29, 1977 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Bruce and Nancy (Ortiz) Korch. Dawn was very family oriented and loved her children dearly. She enjoyed spending free time with her family and being outdoors. She started high school in Burlington and later graduated from Ft. Madison High School in 1996. She was a Load Planner at TanTara Transportation Corporation in Muscatine. Dawn was a beautiful person inside and out, with a big heart and would help anyone in their time of need. She also enjoyed supporting breast cancer research. She was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest. Dawn was also an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. Those left to honor her memory include, children Austin Payne, Muscatine, and Alexis Limmer, Atlanta, GA; parents Bruce and Nancy Korch, Davenport; siblings Chad (Holly) Korch, Las Vegas, NV, Luke Korch, Davenport, Schuy (Rachel Tilkens) Korch, Davenport; and three nephews Carter and Cooper Korch, Las Vegas, NV, and Claydon Korch, Davenport. Dawn was preceded in death by her grandparents and boyfriend, Kevin Diehl.
