Dean A. Levetzow

Cremation will be done with a memorial service to be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. The family will greet guests 12:00pm till service time Wednesday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Care Genesis Healthcare System. Dean was born April 13, 1956 in Davenport, IA to Harvey & Carol (Mannhardt) Levetzow. He was united in marriage to Cheryl Walter on October 12, 1991 in Davenport, IA. Dean had been employed for 30 plus years at the former Bawden Printing Eldridge, IA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golf, and played guitar in Spirt Inc. As a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Davenport, he sang in the choir. He was known for his great sense of humor, big smile, love of family, and his larger than life personality.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cheryl Levetzow; daughter, Danielle Levetzow; sons, Devlin (Amanda) Levetzow, and Darin Levetzow; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; mother, Carol Levetzow; brothers, Kevin (Pam) Levetzow, Jeff (Lianne) Levetzow, Craig (Kathy) Levetzow, and Brad (Cindi) Levetzow; sister, Christine Kuehl; step-mother, Lois Levetzow; sister-in-law, Kathleen (Steadman) Crawford; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Levetzow; brother, Brian Levetzow; and father-in-law & mother-in-law, Cleon and Darlene Walter.
