Dennis Marvin Johnson

Dennis M. Johnson, 75, of Bettendorf passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at his home. Per his wishes, he will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1216 W. 8th Street, Davenport. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Dennis was born on October 21, 1949 in Sibley, Iowa to Alfred and Johanna (Hulzebos) Johnson. Dennis proudly enlisted in the United States Army serving from 1969 to 1971. He was united in marriage to Janine Salo on November 1, 1980 in Cloquet, Minnesota. Dennis worked as a welder for local companies. He enjoyed fishing and outdoor activities, working in his garden and simply enjoying sitting in the driveway visiting with neighbors passing by. Dennis was active in Boy Scouts when his son was young. He enjoyed spending time with his family and will always be remembered for being a hard worker.

Survivors include his wife, Janine; children, Seth Johnson of Davenport and Hannah (Jeff) Rowson of Clinton; siblings, Jim (Janell) Johnson, Connie (Gary) Wollmuth, Karen (Blair) Chinn, several nieces and nephews; 2 sisters-in-law, Gretchen and Faith and brother-in-law Chuck (Jill) Salo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
