Funeral services will be 12:00pm on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary on Friday. Donna was born June 19, 1947, in Davenport, IA to Clarence & Laurine (Dunn) Wilson. She was united in marriage to Larry Nelson on October 27, 1973, in Davenport, IA. Larry preceded her in death on September 4, 2024.
Donna was a longtime member of the Davenport Amateur Radio Club, an avid booster of Davenport West High School, enjoyed traveling and camping, followed NASCAR, and her cats held a special place in her heart. Donna was a strong willed cancer survivor and will be greatly missed by her family & friends.
Surviving Donna is her son Dale (Amanda) Nelson, Port Orchard, WA; grandchildren Andrew (Veronica) Nelson, Ariah (Indigo) Brightside, Ariel Nelson-White, and Alexander Nelson; great grand children Christian, Emery, & Violet; brother Steve Wilson, Torrington, Ct; and good friend Bob Brown.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents & husband Larry.
