Dorothy Mae Medley

Dorothy M. Medley, 94, of Davenport, Iowa passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at her residence. A funeral service to honor her memory will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 1pm at Weerts Funeral Home; visitation will be before the service starting at 12pm. Donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to your favorite charity.

Dorothy was born on July 19, 1928 to Fred and Eaursley Pace in Davenport, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Clarence Medley in 1946. Dorothy was involved in numerous Masonic organizations including the Eastern Star, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and Daughters of the Nile. She was an avid crossword puzzler and enjoyed researching and documenting trivia-related facts. Dorothy was involved with all of her children’s activities and served as the President of the PTA. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughter Debra Hudson; grandchildren Christopher Moomey, Michelle Hudson, Amber Hudson, and Randall Medley II; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, sons Gerald Medley and Randall Medley, and granddaughter Jennifer Mendonca.
