Dr. Robert "Bob" W. Jones

Funeral services for Dr. Robert “Bob” W. Jones, 77, of Davenport, will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 12:00 pm to service time at the Mortuary.Robert passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.Robert William Jones was born on August 13, 1937 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of James and Delores (Schroeder) Jones. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Zelda McFarland on December 14, 1963 in Davenport. Bob worked as an electrician at Alcoa for over 40 years. While working at Alcoa he attended St. Ambrose College and Palmer College where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He worked in private practice and later with Dr. Duncalf. Survivors include his wife, Zelda, of Davenport, son; Jeff Jones, daughters; Kim (Shawn) Bunch, Cathy Turkal, brothers and sisters; Gerald Jones, Patsy Welzenbach, Ronald Jones, Vickie Schneider, Gail Jones Septer, and Steve Jones. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Tawni, Nick, Brittney, Allison, Jackson, Laci, Austin, Dakota, Christopher and 8 great-grandchildren.
