Gene (Earnest) Wyble, 81, of Davenport, died suddenly at home on February 12, 2024. Visitation is on Monday, February 19, at Coram Deo Church in Davenport, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The funeral service is to follow the visitation at 1:00pm and burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the family and online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.
Gene was born on July 6, 1942 in Mexico, Missouri to William (Bill) and Margie Wyble. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie and grandson Tyler Brown. He had two children, Karmen Brown of Davenport and Derek Wyble of Georgia. He also had 5 step children, Sherry, Babette, Brett, Jasen, and Matthew. Several grandchildren; Dalton Wyble, Dillion Wyble, Rebecca, Kendall, Anabelle, and Rusty.
He loved music and played trumpet in the school band. He worked at Arconic, formerly known as Alcoa, for 31 years. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and serving at Coram Deo Bible Church. He loved growing roses and working with wood projects. He was known for his many beautiful dollhouses he created and his beloved dogs Baxter and Tucker.
He is survived by his beloved wife Ruth.
