Davenport, IA Memorial services for Emanuel J. Dailey Sr., age, 87, of Davenport will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Freedom Christian Church, Davenport. The family will greet friends on Friday from 10:00 am to service time at the church. Graveside services will be 9:30 am on Friday at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, Davenport.Cunnick-Collins Mortuary is assisting family with arrangement's. Mr. Dailey died on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Unity Point Health, Rock Island following an extended illness.Emanuel J. Dailey Sr. was born on January 9, 1930, to John and Nellie (Wartz) Dailey in Scott County, IA. Following high school, he attended St. Ambrose University. He married Rosemary Ann Claussen on September 3, 1955, in Scott County. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2005. Together they had four children, three sons and one daughter.Mr. Dailey worked as a janitor at Peter Pan Bakery, and later went to work for Sieg Co. in Davenport. He retired from Sieg Co. in 1985 after going blind. He was a member of Freedom Christian Church, Davenport. Fishing and camping were among his many enjoyments in life.Survivors include his daughter; Maryjane (Ron) Stone of Davenport; sons; John Dailey of Davenport, Emanuel Dailey Jr. of Loveland, Co, Donald Dailey of Andalusia, IL; 6 grandchildren; Joshua (Taylor) Dailey, Nathan (Katlyn) Dailey, Devlen Dailey-Gempis, Amanda (Corey) Otto, Sara Dailey, all of Davenport, and Emily Olivera-Dailey of California; 4 Great granddaughters; Jasmine Otto, Mellissa Otto, Gaberlla Otto, Violet Otto, all of Davenport..In addition to his parents and wife, Rosemary, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jessie.Memorials may be made to the family.Remembrances and condolences may be made to the family at www.cunnick-collins.com.
