Evelyn (Rose) Martin, 96, of Davenport passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Davenport Lutheran Home, Davenport. Private services will be held. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. She was born November 7, 1920 in the Methodist Parsonage West Grove, IA daughter of John and Emily R. (Wood) Rose. Evelyn worked for nearly 27 years at Alcoa, 23 of those years in the Payroll Department, retiring in June 1980.
Her memberships include the Plus 60 Club, AARP, Alcoa Retires Club and the Rose Family Association of California. Evelyne took great interest in cultivating flowers, completing her family’s history and reading.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Patricia (Robert) Kluever, Davenport, and Joyce (William) Engel, Virginia; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. The family thanks the Davenport Lutheran Home for their kindness and love toward Evelyn.
