Evelyn Louise Matejcek

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 12 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 am until the service, at the mortuary. Her final resting place will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Evelyn was born March 11, 1936 in Illinois, the daughter of Leonard and Lois (Taylor) Martin. She married Albert Matejcek on December 19, 1954 in Buffalo, he died February 27, 2001. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Buffalo and a past member of the Buffalo Community Women’s Auxiliary. She loved embroidery, playing bingo and going to auctions. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Elizabeth Matejcek (Doug Moorman), Peggy (Ed) Compton, Cynthia Fisher, Thomas, Anthony and Timothy Matejcek, all of Davenport, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, John Jack Martin, IL and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by three children: Dennis and Albert Jr Matejcek and Pamela Kososki.
