Everett Wayne “Red” Farley, 87, of Davenport passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at ManorCare. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. The family would like to invite guests to attend a luncheon following the service. Inurnment will take place at Davenport Memorial Park at a later date. Everett was born on February 13, 1934 in Grundy County, MO to Jerome and Pebble (Ralls) Farley. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 145, working as a Journeyman Wireman, retiring in 1996. Red enjoyed many aspects of the outdoors including fishing, hunting and camping. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and University of Iowa Hawkeyes football and basketball programs.
Survivors include his wife, Joy, of 68 years; daughter, Cheryl Johnstone; sons, Michael Farley, Mark (Karen) Farley; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one brother, J.L Farley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce.
