Gary M. “Mike” Heitman, 53, of Bettendorf, went to join his Lord peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at his home in Bettendorf. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no further visitation or funeral services. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements. Gary Michael Heitman was born on May 7, 1959 in Moline, IL, the son of Lawrence and Barbara (Colebaugh) Heitman. He spent most of his life in Florida before returning to the Quad Cities a few years ago. Mike was a painter, working with others and on his own. He attended Heritage Wesleyan Church. Mike was very athletic and enjoyed all sports, especially basketball. He is survived by his parents; his Siblings: Lawrence (Sandra) Heitman Jr., Tim (Mindy) Daniels, Lisa (Gilbert) Trujillo, Julie (Steve) Marino, all of Florida; 10 nieces and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
