Cremation rites have been accorded. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m., prior to the service. Memorials may be made in Gloria’s honor to the American Cancer Society. Gloria was born February 8, 1950 in Clinton, IA, to Russell and Ruby Finch. She married the love of her life, Dale Preston on September 13, 1969, in Bettendorf, IA. They went on to enjoy 51 years of Marriage.
Gloria loved any craft, but she was an artist with needlework. She was a past president of the local Embroiderers’ Guild, past board member of the Quad City Rental Association (QCRPA) and the Land Lords of Iowa Organization. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She loved the Wizard of Oz and collecting memorabilia.
Gloria loved to travel with her husband and enjoyed an occasional motorcycle ride. She and Dale made many trips out West.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Dale Preston; children, Dale A. (Cricket) Preston, Scott L. (Elizabeth) Preston, and Karin S. Campion; grandchildren: Kailee, Luke, Rachel, Emily, Alyssa and Lydia; sister, Susan (Daniel) Shead; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
