

Harold A. Seals, Sr., 84, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at The Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.
Harold was born October 17, 1930 in Walnut City, IA; the son of Frank Otis and Mable (Bliss) Seals. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Clara Heath on April 12, 1955 in Aledo, IL.
He had retired from Alcoa after twenty years of service. After retirement, Harold worked as a probation officer for Scott County. He loved working at the Friendly House, only retiring from there due to poor health. He was a member of the NRA and served as President of the Alcoa Retirees Union Local 105 for over twenty years. He loved fishing, hunting, drag racing, reading and playing poker. He also loved horse racing and trained his own horses.
Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife, Clara; sons: Harold “Butch” Jr. (Bonnie), Orion, IL; Donald Seals, Cedar Rapids, IA; Carl “Rob” Sr. (Lisa) Seals, Davenport; daughter, Kimberly (Rob) Fuller, Davenport; son-in-law, Michael Laschanzky, husband of Harold’s daughter, Debra who passed away in 2013; grandchildren: Michelle Yarham, Carl Seals Jr. (Becky); Melissa Laschanzky, Harold Seals, III, Brandon Seals, Madison Fuller, Grant Seals, Katia Seals, Hayden Fuller, Jessica Bollman, Tara Maass, and Tonya Torres; great grandchildren: Harold Seals, IV, Ryelee Seals, Aislynn Seals, Airavin Seals, Chase Bollman, Emily Bollman and Liam Olsen and many more family and friends that he cherished.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra, his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
The family would like to thank all the friends and family members that helped out during his illness, for your support, love and compassion too. A special thanks to Debbie Dierkes and family and also Kathy Klos and family. We are so grateful for everything you did for Harold and his family during this very difficult time.
