

Hulda Mae Sawvell, 70, of Davenport, went home to her Lord on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 after an extended illness. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Online condolences and tributes may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
She was born on November 24, 1943 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Frank B. and Pearl (Maurath) Meyer, Sr.
Hulda was a CNA for many years and caregiver for the elderly. She was an avid Bingo player and loved socializing with her friends and family and reading her Bible, as well as watching her scary movies. Hulda was a member of ASPCA. Hulda had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She ended her conversations with later, never good-bye.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Jennie (Roger) Halverson, Monona, IA; son and daughter-in-law, David (Lisa) Beemblossom, Jacksonville, ARK; three stepsons, Rick, Ron and Tom Sawvell; brothers, Thomas Meyer, Davenport and Carlos (Joyce) Tucker; sister, Gretchen (Bob) Wichtoski, Grand Island, NE; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers, one grandson and her best four-legged friend, Sassy Sue (her life).
