Irving Hancock, 83, of Davenport passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Genesis East. Following cremation, no visitation or service is planned. Online condolences may be made at www.rungemortuary.com.
He was born November 8, 1927 in Preston, Iowa, the son of Robert and Lillian (Jungjohann) Hancock. He married Dolores A. Dombrouski in Chicago, Illinois. She preceded him in death November 14, 2001.
Mr. Hancock was a long-time mail carrier for the US Postal Service in Davenport’s West-End, retiring in January 1993 after 35 years of service. Prior to that he was employed by Bendix Corporation.
Survivors include: son, Gary, daughter, Carol; and two grandsons: Jason and Jeff.
