James Scott Haertjens

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Thursday, May 21, at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 22, at the Coram Deo Bible Church in Davenport. He will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

James was born on July 5, 1963, the son of Frederick M. and Naomi R. (Adams) Haertjens in Davenport, IA. On July 16, 1994, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Nancy Jindresek in Bettendorf, IA. After receiving his BA, he worked for many years as a Field Service Engineer with Siemens and FK, as well working IT for C-Biz.

Jim was a hardworking, kind man who enjoyed life. He was a loving family man who enjoyed golfing, traveling, boating, camping, Indy races and nature. He was a proud Eagle Scout, and he had a close relationship with his brothers and enjoyed being an uncle to Eric, Kyle, Adam, and Chloe Haertjens.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 31 years, Nancy Haertjens; children, Bryce Haertjens, Lauren Haertjens, and Lindsey Haertjens; mother and father; siblings, Jeff (Charlotte) Haertjens, Joe (late Nancy) Haertjens, and Bill (Kelly) Haertjens.

He was preceded in death by niece, Alex Haertjens, sister-in-law Nancy Jo Haertjens; and his grandparents.
