Jim was born a son of George and Magdalen (Pfeifer) Larsen on December 27, 1935, in Nekoosa, WI. From 1954 to 1957 he proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to Joan Rich on July 28, 1962 in Davenport, IA. In 1997 he retired from Alcoa after many years of service.
Jim loved being outside. He enjoyed camping, gardening, and going to the beach picking up sea shells.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 58 years, Joan Larsen; son, Todd (Lori) Larsen, Bettendorf, IA; daughter, Vicki (Jason) Cupp, Iowa City, IA; brother, Joseph Larsen, Davenport, IA; twin sister, Nancy Fleming, Bettendorf, IA; sister, Dorothy Blumer, Davenport, IA; grandchildren: Ben, Matthew, Andy, Abby, Jake, Emily, and Jenna; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Laake; and brother, Jack Larsen.
