

Jerry Klemme, 68, of Princeton, IA, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Genesis East Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will take place, Friday, May 13, 2011 from 3-7 pm at the Davenport Masonic Center, 511 E. 65th Street in Davenport, where a Masonic service will take place at 7pm. Jerry was born April 15, 1943 in rural McCausland, IA, the son of Oscar and Margaret (Hellberg) Klemme. He worked for over twenty-five years at Caterpillar as a boiler operator prior to his retirement.
He loved spending time with and delivering care packages to family and friends. He was a great storyteller. He served as Master of Snow Lodge #44 and Crossroads Lodge #677 of AF & AM Freemasons of Iowa.
Those left to honor his memory include his children: Kerry (David) Madden, Donahue, IA; Amy (Jeff) Schneeberger, Princeton, IA; James Klemme, Princeton, IA; grandchildren: J.J., Joe and Lexi Suiter and Jackson Klemme, step-grandchildren: Niki and Jake Madden, Kalina and Andrew Schneeberger; great grandchildren: Alyvia and Payton; sister, Connie Youngers, Long Grove, IA; brother, Larry (Katie Reed) Klemme, LeClaire, IA; step-mother, Lu Klemme, step-brothers: Kenny & Ralph Baker, sister in law, Carol Klemme and many favorite nieces and nephews.
His parents, brothers, Jack and Jim, sister, Ruth Ocker and a daughter, Teresa Renee Klemme preceded him in death.
