John R. Hedden

Funeral services for John R. Hedden, 90, of Davenport will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the mortuary. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hedden died on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center – West Central Park, Davenport. John Richard Hedden was born in Lewiston, IL on February 18, 1920, a son of John and Gertrude Hedden. On April 25, 1958, he married Arleen P. Schroeder in Davenport. She preceded him in death on January 4, 2000. Mr. Hedden worked for 28 years as a receiving clerk at the Robin Hood Flour Mill in Davenport. He retired in 1975. He loved to play bingo and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He is survived by his Daughter: Delores (Ron) Goossens of Davenport; two Granddaughters both of Davenport: Alicia and Emily Goossens; two Great-grandchildren of Davenport: Analicia and Avalina Lopez; a Brother: Charles (Juanita) Hedden of Oquawka, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Arleen, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Memorials may be directed to the family.
