Joyce E. Hodge

Joyce E. Hodge, 51, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf and she is with her Heavenly Father – running, singing and dancing on the streets of gold. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, August 15, 2014 at the First Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the Runge Mortuary. Joyce was born on September 26, 1962 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Arthur Jewell and Mary Ellen Hodge. She was a great joy for her parents and a blessing to her family and the HDC family. She enjoyed their company and loved going places with them. She loved to eat, swim and listen to music. She had a way to lift everyone’s spirits when you were around her. The HDC made it possible for her to live her life to the fullest and have fun.

Survivors include her mother; siblings, Belinda (Jerry) Morley, Bettendorf, Daniel (Chris) Hodge, Florida, Mark (Connie) Hodge, Donahue, and John Hodge, Davenport; nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Aaron.
