Karen Lee Brown, 75, of Bettendorf Iowa passed on March 18, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. She will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Association. Karen was born on June 15, 1949, in Winona Minnesota to Edwin and Bernadine (Janikowski) Nelson. On June 17, 1972, she was united in marriage to Thomas Brown. They have enjoyed 52 years of marriage. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Karen had a love of cooking and home decorating. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with the family she adored. She was a dedicated caregiver for her husband and took pride in caring for her family. She was an example and inspiration of what it means to sacrifice yourself and give to those you love.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband; children, Kevin (Lisa) Brown, Tom Brown; grandchildren, Tyler, Saraya, Tristan, Audra, Brooklyn, Brady, Reece, Sage; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Eli; siblings, Robert (Jan) Wanek, Steven Nelson and Patricia (Forest) Day.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother Bernadine, father Edwin and stepmother Elaine.
