

Kenneth D. Warren, 90, of Davenport passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus. Private graveside services will be held. There will be no visitation. Mr. Warren was born January 30, 1920 in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of William and Minnie (Zoller) Warren and was a 1938 graduate of Davenport High School.
He served in the US Army during World War II as a Master Sergeant, an aide to General Middleton, VIII Corps HQ, European Theater of Operations. On May 2, 1942, he married Jean M. Macon in Dallas, Texas.
In 1945, he began a 40 year career in advertising, working as a writer with L.W. Ramsey Advertising in Davenport and W.B. Dover Co. in Chicago before founding Warren and Litzenberger in 1954. He retired from the agency, then named Warren-Anderson Advertising in 1984.
He was a lifetime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, as well as a member of the Elks Lodge No. 298 and the American Legion, all in Davenport and had served as Past President and was a lifetime member of the Mutual Advertising Agency Network. He enjoyed playing bridge, sports, entertainment, and travel.
Survivors include his wife, Jean; son Robert K. Warren and fiancée, Jeanette Hames of Alpharetta, Georgia; grandchildren Paul R.Warren and wife, Donyelle Miller of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Kathryn M. Warren of Chaska, Minnesota; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law Marvel Warren of Davenport, and a nephew Martin Warren and his wife, Sandee, along with their family of Blue Grass, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, his parents, and a brother, Melvin.
