Kevin Matthew Martin

Kevin Matthew Martin, 39, of Davenport passed away at his home, Monday, December 16, 2013. According to his wishes, cremated rites will be accorded. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Faith United Church of Christ in Davenport. Visitation will be from 10 am until 11 am at the church. Inurnment will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be dispersed over several charities. Kevin was born June 27, 1974 in Dover, DE; the son of Michael and Linda (Koeppel) Martin. He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1993. He served in the US Army. He had attended Scott Community College Diesel Mechanic School and also graduated from their truck driving school. He drove for United National Foods. He was an avid pool player and played on various pool leagues. He loved riding his Harley and loved riding in his boat on the river. He was a very caring and compassionate man. Those honoring his life include his parents, Michael and Linda, Davenport; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and close friends: Shaun, Kenny and Frank. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
