Linda Caudill

Linda was born, August 15, 1945, in Bloomfield, IA. She was the daughter of Roy and Elva (Pilcher) Ritz. She married Robert Caudill on September 16, 1993, in Rock Island; he preceded her in death on April 1, 2009. She worked for over 20 years for Brach’s Candy Company until the Davenport location closed. When Bob retired, they moved to Gardner, KS. While there, she volunteered for the Meals on Wheels Program.

In her free time, she loved gambling; traveling, especially to Las Vegas and Branson, MO; listening to country music, her favorites being The Judds and Kenny Rogers and really enjoyed pestering everyone. She was fondly called the “Crazy Old Bat.”

Those left to cherish her memory include her nieces: Brenda (Bob) Phillips, Regina Patterson, Karen Lovedy, Rhonda (JD) Sampica and Pamela (Melvin) Ritz and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and his wife, Leroy and Betty Ritz, nephew, John Patterson, one great niece and one great-great niece.
