

Louis was born on August 10th, 1955, the son of Louis and Cora (Spies) Allers in Davenport, Iowa. He was a graduate of West High School.
Louis worked for over 35 years as an LP Gas Delivery Driver for River Valley where he later retired. After retirement Louis spent most of his time antiquing, collecting, and restoring toys at Mt. Kruse Farms. He found joy in bringing old items back to life and enjoyed sharing that passion with others.
He was an active and dedicated member of the Jaycees, where Louis proudly served as a Senator and spent many years giving back through community service, volunteering, and helping wherever he was needed. His commitment to others left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Louis (Kayla) Allers Jr., Jacob (Jodi) Allers, and Jamie (Wayne) Bertelsen; 5 grandchildren: Olivia, Izabellah, Charlotte, Grayson, and Ruby; sister Joyce (Larry) Frandsen, brother Ed (Marlene) Allers, and brother Vern (Linda) Allers; along with several beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 26th, from 4–7PM at Runge Mortuary. Louis will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will be held Wednesday, May 27th, from 12-2PM at Walcott American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Louis will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
