

Marlene J. Miller, 81, a resident of Davenport, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2013, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 12:00 P.M. until service time. The Runge Mortuary has been entrusted with her arrangements. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport. Marlene was born on January 8, 1932, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of William and Ruby (Langmann) Lensch. She served as a secretary/bookkeeper most of her life. Marlene was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and never missed an opportunity to let her family know just how much she loved them. Her passion was spending time volunteering at St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she had been a lifetime member with her family.
Marlene is survived by her beloved sons, Daniel (Lori) Miller, Eldridge, IA, and Jay (Lindsay) Miller, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, as well as by her grandchildren Alicia, Alexis, Rebecca and John, and by her brother Myron (Bev) Lensch of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Ned.
