

Martha L. “Marty” Druhl, 89, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Kahl Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the mortuary. Marty was born July 22, 1924 in Davenport, a daughter of Forrest and Clementine (Berry) Warren. On December 10, 1947 she married John I. Druhl in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1991. She and her husband owned and operated Big John’s West in Davenport and she later retired from Hansloy Corporation.
Along with being a talented cake baker, she was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed playing bingo, cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include children: Jean (Tim) Rossmiller, Davenport, Gail Braet, Davenport, Mary (Gene) Sperry, Bettendorf, Fred (Mona) Druhl, Blue Grass, Rick (Pam) Druhl, Eldridge; grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, and Keith Rossmiller, Lori Puck, Kristy Ehlers, Kent Sperry, Cassie and John Druhl, and Bridget Penniston; 18 great grandchildren; one sister, Vicki Davis, Davenport; two brothers, Herbert Warren, Davenport and Harvey Warren, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Velma (Sam) Morrison, Viola Levetzow, and Bonnie (Jerry) Van Loon; and brothers-in-law, Jugg Roop and Ralph Druhl.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, a son-in-law, three sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law.
