Mary L. Young, 78, of Davenport, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Unity Point Hospitals, Bettendorf. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, IA. Mary was born on September 30, 1943 in Metropolis, IL to Clarence and Elizabeth (Williams) Dunbar. Mary worked as a bookkeeper for John Deere. Mary loved to cook, watch the Wheel of Fortune and her gospel channels. Above all, Mary loved her family. She will be truly missed.

Mary is survived by her children, Daryle Sivels, Carl Sivels Jr. and Shelley Smith; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; siblings Donnie (Patricia) Dunbar, Carolyn (Steve) Gabriel, Ricky (Georgina) Dunbar, Pam Tyson and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 10 siblings and her dog Sophie.
